Our Location
Set in the heart of the historic seaside town of St Andrews, St Leonards benefits from a distinctive and well-connected location. The campus sits within a safe, close-knit community and is surrounded by three award-winning beaches, world-renowned golf courses and coastal walking routes. Just one hour from Edinburgh Airport, St Andrews offers straightforward access across Scotland and beyond.
A Historic, Coastal Setting
St Andrews is a town shaped by centuries of history, with cobbled streets and distinctive historic buildings throughout. Landmarks such as the medieval castle and cathedral ruins are part of the town’s everyday landscape.
In their free time, pupils have plenty to do close by, from spending time in town with friends to enjoying coastal walks, beaches and the harbour. With everything within easy reach, pupils benefit from a safe, walkable environment that encourages independence and a strong connection to the wider community.
St Leonards Golf Academy
St Andrews is known worldwide as the ‘Home of Golf’, with the game played here since the 15th century. The town is home to seven courses managed by the St Andrews Links Trust.
St Leonards offers an eight-level Golf Programme in partnership with the St Andrews Links Trust and is one of the largest school golf programmes in the UK. Pupils train at the St Andrews Links Academy, using indoor and outdoor practice areas, dedicated putting greens and modern performance analysis tools.

“Sending our daughter to St Leonards has been one of the best decisions we have made. The academic challenge of the IB, combined with strong support from teachers and staff, has helped her grow into a confident and independent young woman. As boarders living 4,500 miles away, the level of pastoral care has been particularly reassuring.
As a golfer, she has also benefited from the St Leonards Golf Academy, with high-quality coaching and structured support that have led to two Division I scholarship offers. It has been an excellent environment for her development, both academically and in her sport.”
