Bishopshall

Once home to the Archbishop of St Andrews, Bishopshall is our beautiful boarding house for Senior girls. Through its recent refurbishment, the residence has retained many of its original period features, creating a comfortable county house style with a modern twist for those who live there.

Situated right at the heart of the school campus, it is just a stone’s throw from the classrooms, sports pitches and Restaurant 1877 for meals.

Around 60 girls live in Bishopshall, aged 16-18, in either single or twin rooms.

There are artistic touches throughout the house, from the curtains to the cushion covers, all of which feature sketches of school scenes and iconic imagery drawn by one of our former Bishopshall girls. The corridors feature beautiful Axminster carpet and a grand piano sits in the Drawing Room – perfect for a spot of music practice, or next to comfortable sofas for movie nights with friends!
