Film Location
With beautiful grounds bound by mediaeval walls, iconic buildings on the St Andrews skyline, and a location just a stone’s throw from sandy beaches and world-famous golf courses, St Leonards School offers an ideal setting for filming.
The high standard of boarding houses can accommodate crews and those working at nearby film locations in the Home of Golf and of Scotland’s oldest University, where Kate met Will.
Season six of the Netflix favourite, The Crown, was filmed on our doorstep, as was the STV drama Karen Pirie. Our town-centre location with sea views and more, is hard to beat.
Conferences & Events
With a wide variety of unique and versatile spaces, St Leonards is equipped to cater for corporate, charitable, and social events. Our venues offer comfortable spaces for small-scale corporate events such as meetings and presentations, as well as larger conferences.
Our spaces can accommodate up to 120 guests and include complimentary WiFi and some on-site parking. Catering packages are also available whether it’s coffee and traditional Scottish shortbread, a buffet lunch or formal meal.
Accommodation can be booked in our boarding houses outwith term time, offering recently refurbished rooms and facilities for conferences and group bookings.
In recent years we have welcomed the World Saxophone Congress, the Emerging World Golf Tour, St Andrews Golf Camp, the Edinburgh School of English, the National Theatre of Scotland and the University of St Andrews.
Residential Lettings
As a boarding school, St Leonards has an extensive accommodation offering, which is available to let outwith term time. Our three recently refurbished boarding houses offer ideal venues for residential courses, conferences and camps.
Each house boasts a large state-of-the-art kitchen and dining room, modern, stylish social spaces, games rooms, quiet spaces and study bedrooms.
Rooms range from six-person dormitories to single and twin rooms with shared bathrooms available on each floor.
All accommodation has access to complimentary WiFi and laundry facilities.
Limited parking is available on site, as well as free on-street parking next to all three houses.
