Xander Sneddon (Year 12) has enjoyed a standout season representing Scotland at U18 level, including selection for the Six Nations Festival in France.

Xander’s progress builds on a series of earlier achievements, including training with the Scotland U18 squad in Italy in summer 2025, and this year representing Caledonia U18 at Oriam, as well as a call-up to Caledonia U17 alongside classmate Manuel. The pair were also selected for Glasgow Warriors U16 in spring 2025. By early 2026, Xander had gone on to feature as a standout player for Glasgow Warriors U18, playing as a fly-half or fullback.

Over the Easter break, Xander travelled to Vichy, France, for the U18 Six Nations Festival, where Scotland faced Wales, Italy and Georgia. He made an early impact against Wales, scoring in the first half before leaving the field through injury. He returned for the match against Italy, adding another try for Scotland, before the team closed the tournament with a 33-19 win over Georgia. In the final match, Xander again played a key role in the closing stages, breaking through the defence and combining with a teammate before crossing for a try.

It has been a strong period of development for Xander, reflecting the consistency and commitment he has shown throughout the season.
