‘Made in Dagenham’ Takes to the Byre Theatre Stage
20 February 2026
Our Senior School production of ‘Made in Dagenham’ was performed over three nights at the Byre Theatre from 17-19 February, captivating audiences with a show described as inspiring, humorous and full of heart.
The musical tells the true story of the 1968 Ford sewing machinists’ strike, following Rita O’Grady, played by Arabella H, as she steps from thews into a stand against American company bosses, union leaders and government, ultimately contributing to the Equal Pay Act 1970.
The cast, technical crew and live band delivered a powerful performance, and everyone involved should be immensely proud of what they achieved. A special thank you to Ms McQuade-Powell for her direction, to Mrs Love and the ‘Made in Dagenham’ band for their live soundtrack, and to the full cast and crew for bringing the production to life.
