Alex Samuel Visit to St Leonards

This month we were delighted to welcome former St Leonards pupil and current Glasgow Warriors and Scotland international rugby player Alex Samuel back to school.

This visit marked an important date for our high performance athletes, as well as serving as the opening of our new Strength and Conditioning facilities, based in the squash courts. Alex led a fitness session for some of our High Performance pupils in the new space, before joining SLM Rugby players for lunch and a question-and-answer session in Bishopshall Boarding House.

Pupils asked about everything from motivation and mindset to how Alex prepares himself for games and fixtures. To round off the visit, Alex kindly gifted a Scotland rugby top signed by the national team. We thank Alex for taking the time to share his experience and advice.
