St Leonards Class of 2026 Celebrates Leavers’ Week
28 May 2026
Leavers’ Week at St Leonards carries all the emotions that come with reaching the end of school life: celebration, nerves, applause, reflection and the occasional teary moment.
Across Wednesday 21 – Friday 23 May, Year 13 moved through a final stretch of traditions, performances, celebrations and send offs marking the closing days for Year 13 at St Leonards.
With pipers leading the way, Year 13 made the traditional walk from the Quad to Birdcage, cheered on by pupils and staff before taking part in the outdoor ceilidh that opened the week’s celebrations.
The Junior and Senior Art Exhibitions filled the School with colour, texture and months of work finally stepping out from classrooms and studio spaces into public view. Thursday evening’s black tie Leavers Concert followed, with final performances from Year 13 musicians alongside sets from Love’s Angels, S.L.U.G.S, Daemon Barbers and the Show Choir.
Prizegiving for Years 7-13 celebrated achievements across the School and reflected on a year shaped by academic success, creativity, sport and community life. Afterwards, Year 13 pupils were piped back into School to share the traditional St Leonards strawberry tarts with their families before the celebrations continued at the Leavers’ Ball at the Old Course Hotel.
As the Class of 2026 now prepares for life beyond St Leonards, we wish them every success for the future and hope they look back on their time here with pride, friendship and lasting memories.
