St Leonards Junior School Celebrates Prizegiving
26 June 2026
The last day of the summer term may be filled with final preparations before the holidays, but there is always time for one more celebration for our youngest pupils. The St Leonards Junior School gathered in the Main School Hall for a morning of celebration, with the graduating Year 6 class taking centre stage in front of pupils, staff and families. Speeches were given by Head of School Mr Brian, and Head of Junior School and Deputy Head of Junior School Mrs Robertson and Miss Boissiere. Junior School Captains Connie D and Isabel M, alongside House Captains Rory H-S, Livvy W, Valentina H and Ellie M, also shared thoughtful reflections on their time in the Junior School before Prizegiving began.
Prizewinners were recognised for exemplifying the IB Learner Attributes, alongside a number of annual awards including the Burnett Prize for Speech and Drama, the Liverpool Seniors Quaich for Community Action and the Louise Easton Cup for Languages. The ceremony also marked a milestone for St Leonards as our very first Kindergarten cohort received a class award in recognition of being the first Kindergarten class in the School’s history. Connie D and Isabel M then handed over the reins to newly elected Junior School Captains Hector L and Agnes P, who will lead the Junior School during the 2026/27 academic year as they move into Year 6.
Congratulations to all of our prizewinners and to the graduating Year 6 class. We wish them a wonderful summer and every success as they prepare for the next stage of their St Leonards education.
