St Leonards Receives Commendation in the Independent Schools of the Year Awards for Outstanding Fundraising Achievement

We are incredibly proud to have received a Commendation in the Independent Schools of the Year Awards for Outstanding Fundraising Achievement.

During the 2025–26 academic year, our Year 13 BTEC pupils launched an ambitious campaign to support the development of a new state-of-the-art indoor golf facility at St Leonards.

The class planned and delivered a highly successful black-tie gala dinner, featuring a silent auction and raffle, raising approximately £40,000 to support the development of the new facility. As well as supporting the fundraising effort, the event formed an integral part of the pupils’ Business BTEC coursework, giving them the opportunity to apply their learning in a real-world setting.

The facility will strengthen our Golf Academy, which is delivered in partnership with St Andrews Links and serves more than 150 pupils across all stages of development, from beginners to elite performers.

We are honoured to have received this recognition and congratulate our pupils and staff on this fantastic achievement. Our sincere thanks also go to the many businesses, organisations and individuals who donated auction and raffle prizes, attended the event and supported the campaign. Your generosity played a vital role in making the evening, and this recognition, possible.

The finalists will be announced on 10 September, with the winners revealed at the awards ceremony on 14 October.
