Parent Voices: St Leonards Kindergarten
Now well into our first year of Kindergarten, children are thriving. Parents have been sharing their experiences of the programme, reflecting on how their children are settling in and growing in confidence.
As a new programme at St Leonards Junior School, our Kindergarten has been designed for 4-5 year olds, recognising this as an important stage in a child’s development. Guided by the IB Early Years Programme, children are encouraged to explore, ask questions and build confidence as they begin to read, engage with maths and develop a natural enjoyment of learning. At the heart of this are Miss Fisher and Mr MacPherson, whose care and understanding of each child create an environment where children feel known, supported and ready to learn.
