On the Slopes with St Leonards Skiers

It has been a strong period on the slopes for St Leonards skiers, with success both in Scotland and further afield.

St Leonards skiers from Years 9 to 12 took part in the Glenshee School Ski Races, enjoying a full day of competition on the slopes 0n 29 January.

Well done to Dom A, Johann K, Max S, Cecily P, Ewan W, Harry E, Harris B and Murray H-S, who all represented the school with confidence and commitment. Dom secured 3rd place in his race, a fantastic result for him.

Dom’s performance at Glenshee follows his races in January at the Slovakian National Para Ski Championships in Jasna. Competing in Giant Slalom and Slalom events as part of the Team GB Snowsport Para Alpine Development Squad, he placed 2nd in one Giant Slalom race and went on to win both Slalom races the following day. As a team, they achieved six first places and four second places overall.

It has been a positive period for St Leonards skiing, with pupils representing the school strongly both in Scotland and further afield.
