Whilst we were not able to gather together in person, this week we gathered together in spirit with our school community, our town, and our nation to remember all those who have given their lives to ensure that we can live in peace.
Ahead of Remembrance Sunday, our Heads of School poignantly laid a wreath on behalf of our school community at the war memorial by the cathedral to remember the Seniors (former pupils of St Leonards) who have given their lives in conflict.
In addition, on Armistice Day, the Junior pupils created beautiful poppy wreaths and poppy pebbles to lay on the steps of Hepburn House, and the whole school community observed two minutes' silence. The poignant ceremonies across the school campus concluded with a rendition of Flowers of the Forest played by our piping scholar, Alfie Love.
We will remember them.
