We were pleased to welcome 12 football teams from local primary schools to the school campus to take part in the U12 Football Festival on Friday, 24 March. There was an electric atmosphere on Big Field as over 150 children played in the competition, with many joined by family and friends who watched from the sidelines. The sun was shining, music was playing, and a fantastic evening was had by all.
The Football Festival also gave a great opportunity to Year 12 students to set up stalls and sell their products as part of the St Leonards Enterprise Programme (STEP). STEP is a popular after school activity for Year 12 students to help them develop their entrepreneurial skills. During the programme, the students create their own company, and ultimately sell their products/services with a percentage of their profits going to charity. During the Football Festival, four STEP companies showcased their products, adding to the overall success of the event.
