The East Sands was awash with industrious teams of children for our annual St Leonards Junior School Sandcastle Competition. As always, we had a brilliant array of creative designs, extending far beyond the traditional castles and fortresses to giant dogs, a huge ice cream cone, complete with shell and stone ‘sprinkles’, and a fearsome sand dragon!
Congratulations to the winning teams, whose designs were chosen for their imagination, as well as for the brilliant group efforts involved to plan and create them.
Pupils received their awards – ice cream tokens for Jannetta’s – during Celebration Assembly at the end of term. An outstanding display of teamwork, with older and younger pupils working together to design and build their beach masterpieces!
