St Leonards School has been named one of the top independent schools in Scotland for IB/A Level Results 2022 by The Sunday Times' Parent Power guide, which was released on Friday, 9 December.
In the guide, St Leonards attained the highest ranking for A*-B grades (International Baccalaureate Diploma equivalent). This ranked the co-educational boarding and day school above every other Scottish independent school for results equivalent to A*-B at A Level.
Parent Power analyses academic results data from schools across Scotland before generating league tables to help and inform parents considering their children's education.
This is not the first time that St Leonards has been named Top Independent School in Scotland for IB/A Level Results, having claimed first place in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Head, Simon Brian, said: "It is fantastic to see recognition for St Leonards' academic results in the Sixth Form once again. It is testament to the hard work of our pupils and staff. In particular, the 2022 cohort faced unforeseen challenges in the form of the Covid-19 pandemic, and still they persevered, securing outstanding results and places at leading Scottish, UK and international universities.
"I am incredibly proud of the students, and of St Leonards, on the announcement of this news."
