We are thrilled to announce that, two years after the arrival of our bee colonies, the pupils have been able to harvest the first batch of St Leonards honey, and this is now available for Junior families to purchase!
If you have been following the weekly newsletter, you will have seen various updates about our classes inspecting the bees, and more recently harvesting and bottling the honey. The final step in the process was designing the label, and this task fell to the Year 6 pupils, led by Miss Neave. A select few were submitted to a professional designer, who was able to incorporate various elements from the designs into our first Junior honey label. Well done to Emma T, whose design provided the main inspiration for this!
Due to the harvest size and heavy involvement of our Junior pupils, St Leonards Honey will be offered first to our Years 1-6 pupils, before widening out sales to the rest of the school community.
