In celebration of our 34 nationalities here at St Leonards, the whole school was bright and buzzing as pupils proudly wore their national dress for International Day.
During the day, Years 7 to 11 were invited to the School Hall to sample cuisines from across the globe. Each stall represented a different country and was hosted by students in Years 12 and 13. The event was a resounding success with the room filled with fun, food and flavours.
In Years 1-6, St Katharines Hall was decorated with flags as different cultures and traditions were celebrated in a special International Assembly. Back in the classroom, the children learned about where their peers and families were born and raised, discovering different languages, delicacies and unique traditions.
The event was a truly global occasion, celebrating our IB ethos and international outlook. Our thanks to the Year 12 pupils for organising this calendar favourite.
