03.12.19 : Head Girl Emma Thanks Rotary for RYLA Experience

Following a dedicated RYLA Assembly in school, Head Girl Emma Rubidge was invited to join members of the Rotary Club of St Andrews at their weekly lunch meeting at The Scores Hotel. Emma was presented with her certificate, following a week spent on the Rotary Young Leadership Award Programme this summer.

Each year, the Rotary Club sponsors two young people from the town, a boy and a girl, to attend the RYLA week, during which they take part in a range of outdoor challenges and activities, as well as attending daily lectures from inspirational leaders.

Emma thanked the Club for giving her this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and shared some pictures and stories from what was, by all accounts, a fantastic experience.

At our RYLA Assembly, members of the Rotary Club joined us to introduce the programme to our pupil body, inviting them to apply for next year's week-long camp. Thank you to the Rotary for supporting and enabling this valuable experience.
