11.09.17 : Harbour Life

Year 2 ventured out to visit our neighbour, St Andrews harbour, this week to learn about the different jobs down by the sea.

They interviewed lobster fishermen, the manager of the Harbour Café, the litter team who keep the beach clean, and even some Dutch pirates who told special stories about their lives aboard the tall ship that was anchored in the bay.

It was also a chance for the children to try out the facilities on offer to visitors at the East Sands including the play park and the ice cream shop!

Everyone enjoyed their fun morning out and came back with plenty of information to include in their tourist brochures which they are going to make in class to encourage others to visit the wonderful St Andrews seaside.
