The St Leonards campus has been alive with activity throughout the Easter holidays, thanks to the popular Multi-Activity Camp and Culinary Club. Pupils from St Leonards and the wider community enjoyed team-building and beach activities, sports, swimming, games and more at the Multi-Activity Camp. Whilst at the Thomas Franks Scotland Culinary Camp, Catering Manager Darren Tonge and his team trained up a group of budding chefs.
The cooks refined their culinary skills in the professional kitchen and learned how to batch cook in large quantities. Throughout the 5-day cookery course, the children created delicious dishes from scratch, including handmade pizza, rustic burgers, mouth-watering salmon and delightful cupcakes. On the final day, the pupils invited their parents for a three-course meal, cooked and served by themselves. Parents were astounded by the selection on offer, with many returning for seconds or thirds!
