For our Performing Arts pupils, the summer holidays started with a fabulous trip to Italy, taking in Verona and Venice in the sweltering heat and participating in a series of theatre, art and dance workshops.
Everyone tried their hand at mask-painting in Venice, resulting in some colourful and very theatrical creations! There were cultural trips and tours, dance lessons, and a dramatic re-enactment of the Romeo and Juliet ‘balcony scene’ at the famous site in Verona.
The drama trip, which takes place biannually, is designed to give students the experience of exploring how all the performance arts work together, both as participants and as part of an appreciative audience.
A brilliant trip and a super start to the summer.
