As ever, the final few weeks of the Autumn Term were filled with Christmas cheer at St Leonards, with a wide variety of festive celebrations.
First up, decked out in tinsel, Santa hats and sparkly jumpers, our Senior girls convened on the AstroTurf for the annual festive hockey tournament. In the days that followed, pupils and staff donned festive jumpers once again for the Christmas Mix concert, and then to raise money for Save the Children. The Christmas Mix is always a festive favourite and, whilst we were sadly unable to welcome families to the Music School Auditorium to enjoy the event in person, the live-streamed showcase was a fantastic celebration of all things Christmas!
Pupils, friends, and families of St Leonards then enjoyed traditional services of lessons and carols broadcast live from Holy Trinity Church. The church looked beautiful, complete with its sparkling tree and lights, and was filled with superb choral singing.
In addition, the school community enjoyed a traditional three-course festive lunch with all the trimmings in Restaurant 1877 - complete with turkey, crackers, hats, and a centrepiece cheesecake.
Last, but by no means least, boarding pupils enjoyed cosy nights in decorating gingerbread houses and painting seasonal ceramics, as well as toasting marshmallows outside over the fire-pit, wrapped up from the cold winter nights.
Thanks to all those who made our festive celebrations possible this year!
