Burns Day was, as ever, celebrated in style at St Leonards. Pupils were allowed to wear a 'touch of tartan', and consequently there was an impressive display of tartan kilts, scarves, trousers, and headbands around the School.
There were assemblies in the Junior School and Senior School which celebrated the life and works of Robert Burns. These included eloquent recitations and beautiful sung performances of Burns' poetry. Pupils in the Junior School also enjoyed poetry workshops delivered by Mr Simon Lamb, poet and former teacher here at St Leonards. In the Senior School, there was an after-school ceilidh in the School Hall.
Many thanks to the pupils and staff who were involved in the various activities which made Burns Day 2020 so special!
