02.05.19 : Blackpool & Malham Geography Trip

Year 9 MYP Geography students set off for Blackpool and Malham at the start of Summer Term, accompanied by Miss Bennett, Mrs Pemberton-Hislop and Mr Barlow. After studying Blackpool as a contrasting coastal tourist destination to St Andrews, and looking at city management, the pupils enjoyed a visit to the Pleasure Beach for some adrenaline-filled fun on the rides and rollercoasters.

The initial wet and windy weather cleared as the group headed onwards to the Yorkshire Dales, where they visited a rural tourist destination at Malham, which is famous for its unique limestone scenery and for being one of the filming locations for Harry Potter!

The itinerary also included an evening walk to Janet’s Foss and a glorious hike up Malham Tarn.
