05.12.14 : Tilda Hayward-Daventry wins The Jull Singing Competition

This year's Jull Award involved 16 competitors from Year 8 through to IB2. Adjudicator Thomas Wilkinson, the University of St Andrews choirmaster and organist, praised the general standards as very high and gave each entrant useful individual feedback. He awarded the much-coveted Jull Medal to IB2 student Tilda Hayward-Daventry, who beautifully delivered Purcell's haunting "When I am laid in earth."

Tom Wilkinson awarded the Junior Jull accolade to Kate Moran (Y10) for her rendition of A Nightingale sang in Berkeley Square.  Highly commended in the junior years were Jack Boag, Andrew Wells and Ilona Maclean, while at senior level Kieren Smith was also highly commended.
