Typically the morning starts with coffee and chat for all parents before the meeting at 9.30am.
Help the committee decide on what social and fundraising events to hold during the 2016/17 school year and remember, all parents are welcome!
The autumn term last year featured fantastic events run by St Leonards parents. Here’s a flavour of some of our favourites:
On a gloriously sunny September day we ushered in the autumn term with a back-to-school barbecue. Parents and pupils new and not-so-new had a chance to meet and chat and enjoyed fabulous food, picnic-ing in style on St Leonards Grass.
Children of all ages played ball games, made energetic use of the bouncy castle and the little ones were entertained by a team of sixth-form face-painters as well as by a balloon sculptor.
St Leonards parents, pupils and staff took to the stage to display their various talents for musical theatre at a brilliantly well-attended Cabaret Night. The venue was the School Hall which had undergone a stunningly impressive transformation, with themed tables draped in white and bedecked in a profusion of black and red satin, feathers and lace. Cocktails and canapés added to the glamour, while guests were treated to a delicious buffet supper prepared by parents.
Well done to all the amazing entertainers and to everyone who supported the evening. A great show for all!
Junior School Pumpkin party
It was a spooky evening at the Parents Association Pumpkin Party with over 90 Junior School children dressed in a variety of excellent costumes, some scarier than others! The children had fun in the Main School Hall playing a variety of organised games and participating in activities such as bobbing for apples and pin the wart on the witch. Head Boy Philip Decu and Head Girl Laura Ferrier chose the best costumes and the most creatively carved pumpkins, awarding the winners with prizes and certificates to take home. Thank you for your attendance and looking scary!
The Junior School Christmas Fair took place on Saturday 5 December in the Junior School. The Christmas Market is a festive favourite which the children look forward to each year. In the main hall children set up their own tables with a variety of different types of activities from selling arts and crafts to engaging other children to play games or other activities. All proceeds from the market will be donated to the TCCL charity. Thank you to all family and friends who joined us on a cold winters morning!
