Earlier this week St Leonards students starred in their own production of ‘Living with Lady Macbeth’ which the students had put together themselves. The ensemble was made of students from IB1 and IB2, from Bishopshall and St Rule boarding houses. Jasmine Bossley and Philip Decu who are both studying Theatre directed the play which was written by Rob John.
The students felt that directing and acting in a play perfectly suited the ‘creativity’ section of their Creativity Action and Service that they need to complete for their IB. A few of those who took part had never appeared on stage in public before so it was also showing the students as risk-takers – one of the key behaviours highlighted in the IB Learner Profile!
The production raised over £100 which will go towards the meals and schooling of two children in Kabubbu that the School has already been supporting for the last two years.
The audience was wowed and keenly showed their appreciation to the Cast and to the Director/Producer. What a wonderful example of creativity and community here at St Leonards!
