25.01.16 : Kilted Celebrations for Robert Burns

Today, the St Leonards Junior School celebrated the life and works of Robert Burns in a special morning assembly, led by a kilted Dr Carslaw.  Appropriately 'suited and booted' - the boys in their kilts, and the girls in their tartan uniforms, they listened carefully to a recital of some of his best poetry and learnt about his life.

They also enjoyed a themed lunch in the central dining room where haggis, neeps and tatties were served, and there may have even been some tapping toes and Scottish country dancing spotted in the playground before pick up!  Happy Burns Night to all from St Leonards!
