The close of our Junior School Prizegiving marked the end of a busy Summer Term and more importantly the start of the holidays! Thank you to everyone that attended Friday morning's wonderful celebration.
Guest speaker Lt Col Dominic Coombes, Commanding Officer, SCOTS DG delivered a powerful and sincere speech to our children, reminding them to keep smiling and encouraging them to rise from failure, reciting the poem 'If', by Rudyard Kipling. He also shared his six 'magic values' that make a great soldier and which will aid us on our journey through life. Courage, self discipline, respect, integrity, loyalty and commitment - traits that we already admire in our boys and girls.
St Leonards Junior School pupils have worked extremely hard this year, and we are immensely proud of all they have achieved. Many congratulations to our prizewinners, Mull for being announced the winning house, and to our lovely Year 7, who will progress to the Senior School in August.
The highlight of the proceedings for many was the opening procession performance by our Pipe Drummers - click here to watch!
