February The annual Wine Tasting Evening and Silent Auction with information and entertainment. This year's theme was, "Who's Wine is it Anyway" as St Leonards School Hall was transformed with candle light on long tables, delicious canapés, and decorations to create a wine cellar atmosphere. The wine supplier this year specialises in wine from the south of France. Sharing the MC duties were Stephen Owen and Jonathan Fitton providing both planned and unplanned entertainment. A volunteer group of St L school fathers narrow the wine tasting selection down to those offered on the night. (Curiously these volunteers become quite chummy over the course of their duties). Generous donations of silent auction items with equally generous bidding, helped raise funds towards providing The headmaster’s wish list items for the school. A truly wonderful evening and a fun event to meet and get to know other parents, teachers and wider school community.

May Fine weather for PA tennis Day We are lucky at St Leonards to have outstanding sea views from the school grounds, and with fair spring weather on the day; the blue sky reflected in the sea is breathtaking. The aim of the Tennis Day is to have fun at all levels of play, enjoy the barbeque, and socialise. For younger children, the bouncy castle was, as always, a big hit and the press-ganged Dads did a great job with the BBQ. Home made salads, baking, strawberries and Pimms featured as in previous years. The 2010 Tennis Day was won in very fine style by Jack & Gavin Stewart, who beat George & Jane Lorimer in the final. The title was therefore retained by the Stewart family, as Jack & Vanessa were last year's winners!

"Images of St Andrews" Art card project- A new project this year was developed and driven by a PA volunteer/parent. Lunch time art activities by the junior school, and Y-8's from the senior school, saw students draw scenes from in and around the town of St Andrews. Themes of By the Sea, Golf, Town and Gown, and Farming were made into amazing collages that reflect the children's perception of our beautiful and historic area of Scotland. The cards are available for sale in packs of four, one of each theme at a cost of £4 per pack. Funds raised go towards PA donations to the school. The cards are ideal for birthday and special occasion note cards. A fun project for all involved. ("Town and Gown", "By the Sea" are featured below)

June - Summer Ball Rufflets Country House Hotel's Garden Suite was the venue for the end of school 2010 black tie dinner and dance evening. Music provided by The Galavanters kept the reels lively following a delicious 3 course dinner. The warm summer evening began with champagne and socialising on the garden lawn before moving indoors. An auction of the original art work for the artwork note cards raised another £800 towards the PA’s fund raising for the schools wish list.
